The Rome Baroque tour rediscovers the more famous places and baroque monuments in Rome. Visit the Trevi Fountain that has been recently reopened to the public after intensive restoration works- the biggest and most famous fountain in Rome, commissioned by Pope Clemente XII in order to furnish Rome with drinkable water. Construction began in 1732 with Nicolò Salvi and was completed in 1762. Afterwards, continue to the Spanish Steps with the Trinità dei Monti Church at the top which dates from the year 1500, the Barcaccia Fountain at the base which was sculpted by Bernini. Onwards on Via del Babbiuno to arrive at Piazza del Popolo, one of Rome’s most famous piazzas. We depart Piazza del Popolo to reach the Pantheon, a building in Rome which is dedicated to all gods, and was built in 118 A.D. by the Emperor Adriano. Next, we continue to Piazza Navona, the famous piazza in Rome which Pope Innocenzo X commissioned above the Domiziano stadium: Hereone finds creations by illustrious artists such as Bernini and Borromini.
